RCCMD AS/400-Client

For customers, who already use RCCMD/UPSMAN for their USV/UPS:

Congratulations. They have it easiest: order RCCMD AS/400-Client, install it and inform your UPSMAN/RCCMD server or your USV/UPS with CS121 of the IP address which are used for communication. Finished. The event control is regulated reliably now by means of TCP/IP communication.

For customers, who have a USV/UPS, but not yet RCCMD:

Congratulations. They are on the best way to decide for the simplest and most effective USV/UPS solution. They need only the Battery Backup thier AS/400, and:

They need the RCCMD AS/400-Client and

• a Generex CS121 SNMP Web adapter. This adapter is suitable for 99% also for your USV/UPS. They connect ` the Pack'(named due to it's size - the size to a cigarette box) at COM1 with the USV/UPS. They connect then the CS121 with its 10/100MBIT network connection directly to the iSeries or preferably with thier LAN/WAN, in order to use the integrated comfortable Web Browser for configuration. Now sending of the RCCMD(Signale/Befehle) can be controlled by this comfortable configuration to the AS/400 directly by appropriate Events.
• or an older networkable computer/PC and the UP one software. This solution is more economical.
• the R232-Kabel of the USV/UPS manufacturer
• a network cable

For all customers: a simple and comfortable USV/UPS management

From now on, the RCCMD Server/the CS121 "talks" with your USV/UPS. It supervises and controlls independently, in the event of a power failure, the battery condition and implements your predefined measures when necessary. The AS/400 does not even need to now of the presence of the USV/UPS! Even if you select another USV/UPS manufacturer. You decide, which of your actions are to be implemented with power failure on your AS400. No default prevents you from the realization of your PWRDWNSYS process. And the monitoring costs 0% CPU!
